Multiplayer with one UMD

I've been snooping around the web for some useful PSP info, and I came across a blog that claims you can play multiplayer games with one UMD. Take a look here for the info.

I wouldn't mind trying it, but I don't know anyone else around here with a PSP yet.

You can aslong as the game says "game sharing" on the back of the box you can do it. All games are different

I know what game sharing is, and I wasn't talking about that. I'm talking specifically about playing a full multi player game with only one umd as mentioned in the blog article. Did you read the information on the linked page?

This kinda works but its a bit flakey. I think it would depend on the size of the game as to how good this would be. The constant UMD swapping is a pain!

I agree with Dade, done it a few times with Ridge Racer bit of a pain swapping UMD's but hey it worked.. and was pretty cool! If you dont mind swapping try it..

Well now that there are two PSPs floating around my house, I've managed to try this out for myself. It appears that it will work with some games, but not others. It definitely works with Wipeout, but doesn't work with Midnight Club 3 or Darkstalkers Chronicles. I haven't tried any others yet.

sharing works with burnout legends too!

we have 3 PSP's at work, great for lunch time gaming sessions on Burnout and Toca!!

oh, it didnt work with my copy of wipeout :D - BUT - it definately works with mercury, which until i got NFSMW was my favoutire game ;)
