MP3, WMA and WAV alerts on SMT5600

I recently purchased an SMT5600 and am using it on ROGERS Wireless. I absolutely love the phone. The only problem I have is that I can't change the SMS alert to anything other then the supplied factory ringtones. I have tried using an MP3, WMA, and a WAV file, none of which show up in the list of available tones to select when choosing a tone.

I've searched these (and other) forums, which all suggested to try a WMA or WAV file which had the same results - it didn't work.

Language: 1.1.170.181

File System: 4.21.14257.0

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love the MoDaCo forums by the way, the best place for SMT5600 info!

Where are you storing the wavs / wma etc

They need to be stored either in

storage/my documents

or

storage card/my documents (which you may need to create)

They should then appear in your list

In order to use MP3s on my SMT5600, I had to put them in the \Storage\Application Data\Sounds folder. I'm imagining the smae for WMA and WAV's.
