Help me setup E-mail

Iv always used AOL for handling my E-mail but im getting kind of sick of it so I want to try to get a new one but im pretty much clueless on how to do this. I think i read somewhere that i can't check/wright E-mails from my phone with an AOL adress so i went to hotmail.com and followed the directions on how to get a new free E-mail adress, but now i dont know what to do to make it so i can use it with my smt5600. Any suggestions are welcome,sorry if this is an obvious question.

With email accounts such as Hotmail you will need additional software

such as HTTPMail Provider Smartphone Edition 1.4

Another option is to sign up to MoDaCo Plus as get HotMail POP3 access as one of the plus benifits.

i found that getting my hotmail using 3rd party software on my c500 very hit & miss so i signed up with a web hosting company ( 1&1 ) & got my own pop/imap email address that works every time.

i think that its terrible that ms dont give a suitable soluition for retrieving hotmail on their own operating system.
