Guest Parre Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Ok guys i have had the same problems as a lot of you out there. I have a Qtek 8010 or C500 as some would call it. My problem was that i was able to sync via active synce through IR but not via BT. So this is what i did. I delete both partnership on the PC and C500. Put discovery on for the PC and C500 and searched for new device via the C500. Added my code and devices was bonded. Double left click on the BT icon on the PC close to the clock and the other icons to open up the menu "BT devices" Checked that the flap "devices" had my phone bonded. Clicked COM ports and add incoming as COM 7. On active Sync i deleted any mobile device available there. Then file-> connection settings tick "allow serial cabel or IR conn to this COM port: Choose COM 7 here. Then on the C500 i added incoming COM to 7 (from the settings->BT->menu->COM) Restart PC and C500. From the C500 i searched for new devices a second time and found the PC and rebonded it 2nd time. Then i double left clicked the BT icon on the PC again and choose the COM ports flap and choosed add OUTGOING and then it could find my C500 which was called Parres. After that i could just go to active sync and sync from the phone. Hope this works for you and that this info was to any use. The problem for me was that the Outgoing port wasent choosen so that i was not able to connect at all via my sync hence it dident even reacted when i clicked sync via BT. But now all is working. Please feel free to contact me for any issues regarding the BT sync and C500 and i will try to help you.
