Guest the loc-man Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 Hi I had a SE BT headset, for my SPV C550, I now exchanged it for a Nokia HDW-3. I have noticed with the Nokia, the little headphone icon is displayed all the time on the top of the screen, whereas with the SE it would drop out. I am wondering if this is why the SE would not answer calls intermittentaly? Should the little icon be displayed all the time when a BT heaset is connected to it? cheers LOC
Guest pd.ryder Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Headset icon is displayed all the time on my 550 (whilst BT headset is 'on') Probably why your old headset wasn't up to the job?
Guest the loc-man Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 when I first switch on Bt on phone and BT headset the icon doesnt display tho. I have to intiate a call or something, then after that it stays on. Which do you switch on first? phone's BT or HS? Does it show up the icon straight away? how can I get it to "see" the BT HS and thus display the icon straight away please cheers
Guest pd.ryder Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 My BT is always 'discoverable'. When I need the headset I switch it on and the icon displays after a second or two. When you bonded the HS, did the phone give you the option for "headset support" or "handsfree support"? Handsfree is the better of the two options - my old E200 didn't support this option and the same HS wasn't nearly as functional. :o
