how do I use my work's proxy server

Hi

I want to use my c500 at work, but they have a http proxy server. I only get asked for my proxy username/password when using Internet Explorer, all other programs that try to connect out (celltrack, fusd, ipodder, picoblogger, TomTom) simply fail to get a connection.

I have gone to Data Connections->Proxy connections and entered the IP address, username and password for the HTTP-{GUID} proxy.

I also told activesync to connect to my work network.

Is there anything I've missed?
