help with downloads

hi every time i download a game or a program then try to open it all i get is "open application and open file within application" please please help thanks.

Have a read of the 'First 48 Hours' thread linked in my sig.

There are installation instructions for the various file types, and although the thread was written for Smartphones, they usually apply to a Pocket PC like the M1000.

It would be helpful if you could be more specific about what software you are trying to run, where you have the file located, what type of file it is (exe, cab etc)
