6.4mb cemail.vol

I've got a cemail.vol thats 6.4mb in size, and contantly running out of space on my C550.

I've tried to rename the file in the hope it creates a new clean file, however it says it's in use.

There is no way I have 6.4mb of messages on my phone, my question is, how can I make my device create a new file and remove the old one?

Have you checked your Deleted Items folder for messages you have deleted?

[Edit] I've also just been using Smartione for something else and noticed that it allows you to view cemail.vol - might be worth having a look and seeing what's there [/Edit]

unfortunatly, i'm unable to delete data from the cemail.vol file, do you know of any other way I could acheive this?

If you can not rename the file etc then the only potion is to do a hard reset and start again.

Also have you application inlocked your phone?

Just wondering if this is a read only file, as such renaming,etc on the C550 will not work. Try connecting to Activesync and deleting/renaming uings windows explorer.

Let us know if it works.

I really should be able to avoid a hard reset really, its not something that I wish to do.
