Disable SMS vibrate while on a call

I'm having a problem that if I have my phone on Silent (which is set to vibrate for new calls and SMS messages) and if I'm on a call and get an SMS message my phone will vibrate. Is it possible to disable the vibrate while in a call?? I don't believe this happens when I have it on Normal which is set to ring and vibrate when a new SMS message comes in. Since the phone is vibrating is makes a horrible noise on the other end I guess and everyone asks "what the hell was that?". If any of you know a trick on how to disable this during a call PLEASE let me know!!
