Extended ROM Help

Hi I think I have got to grips with the whole extended rom on my MDA apart from one thing

I have done the hard/soft reset and installed the cab files I feel I need but how do I now deleted the remaining files in the Extended Rom folder as when ever I try I get an error sayings some files are in use and others are read/write protected.

Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible

Please Help its been driving me mad all evening

i think, but i'm not sure - the extended rom access via the hard then soft reset is just so you can select the cabs that you want, i don't think you can then use the storage space those files take up - i think you need big storage for that
