C500 dead microphone

Help! My microphone has suddenly stopped working on my C500. No one can hear me when I make and recieve calls. Also there is no sound on the videos. Maybe I switched it off by mistake whilst playing with various settings, but I didn't think you could.

Any help would be appricated before I go out and fork out for a new one.
