i600 update help

I am trying to update my samsung i600 to the 2003 version of smartphone. When i get to the last step it says plug in the phone into the cradle and plug the power into it. I do this and check the box in and it just keeps telling me to plug the power in, and connect the phone. I know the computer is recogniing teh phone because i use activesync quite frequently. Please help!

It's been a while, but I remember something about having to use ActiveSync 3.7. Try going back to version 3.7 and see how that works. Obviously once upgraded you can go back to version 3.8 or 4.0.

i am usng active sync 3.7, but its still not working, i can tell that the power cable is working phine(the phone nows its plugged in) and its still not working.

Not sure what it could be if Activesync is normally working for you. You could try a Hard Reset if you haven't already. Turn device off. Then press and hold the 6 button and the # button, press end to power up, continue to hold 6 and # until you are prompted to press the left softkey to erase everything. You only have about a few seconds to press the left softkey or it will boot normally.
