brightness level

I am having a problem with my M500 every now and then when I press the red power button there is no backlight.

When I go into the brightness level settings it is down to the lowest setting but only on the battery level the on power bar is still on full.

Has anybody had this problem?

Have I got a faulty phone?

Sounds like you are holding the power button down too long. A short click on the button turns your phone on and off (well, puts it to sleep and wakes it up), a long press of the button however turns the backlight on and off.

Give it a go, see what happens :o
