Headset issues

Hello ALL.

I searched this forum and did not find answers. In case there is thread answering my questions please reference me into it.

I bought MPX220 and received wired mono headset in package. It is working fine except the button for starting/ending conversation. It does not function no matter what i tried. In a matter of fact it succeed to start (answer call) conversation couple of times but i did not understand how 8) . I also failed to end conversation using it.

I though that might be the headset has problems and used my friends headset for nokia (the same pin connector though). It worked allright except the button's functionality!

Does anyone know how to operate / configure this?

Finally i've got bluetooth headset. It is working fine including the functional button. But here are couple of other issues:

1. It plays different sound when the phone rings. It is ringing although profile defined to be headset. The ring in the earphone of the headset is low and different from the one that phone plays. How i can synchronize them and make the one for the headset louder?

2. Answering the phone works fine, but when i need to initiate the call problems come. Functional button does not dial last dialed number and long press simple disables headset mode. I also did not find the way to run speech recognision to dial custom phone number. Does anyone have an idea how to force this blue device work?

Thank you in advance.

My headset stereo button does not work either. Tried 2 sets. Both Motorola, the

one that came with and worked on my MPx200. And one I ordered on eBay,

susposed to be OEM, for MPx220, part #SYN9870A. You can hear clicking on

other the other end of the call, sounds like it is trying to hang up, but does not.

Won't pickup call Button won't pickup or drop call.

Got it set to auto answer to over come problem for now.

Any ideas?

I have a Logitech (model F0228A) bluetooth headset and it does the same thing. I don't think that the sounds on the phone are sent to the Bluetooth headset until after you connect the call. Each headset probably has its own method for call notification (from fancy flashy light patterns to cute little ditties). Mine plays the first few bars from Greensleeves Rhapsody in a sort of snappy beat a couple times. I set my phone to ring LOUD on the headset profile because I don't wear my headset unless I'm actually using it...(go figure). The answer and end button (it's the same button) works properly also.

I also did not find the way to run speech recognision to dial custom phone number.

I read somewhere (I think it was in a review of the MPx220) that Bluetooth is not supported for voice dialing. That being said, there is some software I downloaded from Handango called "Fonix VoiceDial" which is supposed to support Bluetooth voice dialing. I haven't installed it yet as it's about half way down on my "evaluate" list of software, but it might be worth a look.

I have a nokia HDW-3 headset and everything works sweet, except voicedial of course. Although again, with mine it plays the Nokia tune in the headset which does my head in!

I heard a rumour that music can be played over a bluetooth headset!!! Anyone worked this out???
