problem with spv c500

For some reason my spv c500 has decied that it wont play any sound when i play mp3s or videos, but it will when i recieve an imcoming call or text message :?: , when i try 2 use the buttons on the side of the fone 2 trun volume up, it doesnt do anythin! so if any1 has had same problem and overcome it or knows how 2 could ya let me know plz? cheerz
