Guest Gomezie Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Hey all.. im a new user on here to please be patient.. I have also used the search function in these forums but this did not help so here I am :o Now back to the issue.. For some reason I seem to have a bug of some sort where its listing data for my message in an abnormal way... Basically I with the default settings i had with the phone.. Basically my sms inbox would show the most recently recieved message at the top of the list etc, but now for some reason it shows this at the bottom of the list.. I have now been into the options for the messaging and set it to ascending and decending etc and this works fine.. accept for when I recieve a delivery report as this always seems to be at the opposite end to the most recent message recieved.. if you catch my drift. The reason why this causes an issue is because the delivery report counts as a new message, and with lots of messages in a list this becomes a pain when having to delete them etc This is extremely annoying as the amount of messages I send to the missus is quite alot.. and if i dont reply she will have my balls :x I have also noted a similar issue with my call history logs, where the most recent is at the bottom of the list and not the top.. unfortunately this has no options to order the list so its even worse  So to recap: Sms Delivery reports popping up at the opposit end of the list to the recent messages recieved.. and call history logs displaying most recent entries at the bottom instead of the top Here is some info that you may or may not find usefull: Maker: Typhoon Processor: ARM OMAP 730 Windows CE v 4.21 (1088) build 14132 (windows mobile 2003 Second edition) Operator: 4.0.1.0 Manufacturer: 1.0.1.6 I really hope you can help, and apologise for my long post.. as i know it would be a ball ache to read.. Many thanks

I am happy to perform a hard reset.. but will this loose all my settings for orange and things?
Guest bluesmudge Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Hard reset will only delete changes you yourself have made to the phone . . . after a hard reset the phone will be exactly the same as when you took it out the box. be sure to sync your contacts, and photo's etc etc. Contents of Mini SD will be completly unaffected. If you want to keep your messages then you'll need to find the thread somewhere round here about doing that . . . Normally har reset solves most problems like this so you might as well give it a go. . . . just read the guide carefuly!

But if decide to hard reset please post the result.

PROBLEM Solved :o :( Must be one of the wierdest things I have ever seen in my life.. but its all sorted now! Id like to thank each of you for you patience, time and expert help.. Guest Griff_FFOC Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 I know you've sorted it now, but you said you had changed the sort order to ascending and descending. Had you by chance changed what to sort on, to perhaps something like Subject, or Sender. This would put them towards the end as they are from "System Administrator". Just an idea. Not really important though as you've already sorted it, but might help someone else in future.

It was only after using that on my xda (which has now similar issues) and my spv I encountered the problem i recall.. Word of warning to you all :o
