Guest phrmctcls Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 I apologize if this topic has been covered, I tried to look for an answer but couldn't find one. I am trying to install a homescreeen, but it isn't working. I don't have activesync (the cd was damaged, I'm getting a new one) for my phone (Audiovox5600). I downloaded the homescreen onto my pc and then saved it to my mini sd. Now that it have done that, what do I need to do to get the new homescreen onto my...er...homescreen? I am doing the same thing woth one of the programs. Any tips? Thank you for helping out! I am totally new to this stuff.
Guest phrmctcls Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 So I found a download of the software from microsoft. I have installed it and connected my phone to my pc. I am reading the first 48 hours dirctions, I cannot find the "With the phone connected to the PC open Activesync and go to IPSM\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories." Is it in the activesync program, the phone, where... I can't find it!
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 Hi. Welcome to MoDaCo Forum :( The counterpart of 'IPSM' on your phone is 'Storage'. Click on the green ActiveSync icon on your PC's taskbar to launch the program. You will see window similar to this: Click on 'Explore' then navigate to \Storage\windows\Start Menu\Accessories. On a related note...I install CABs this way: http://www.gpcarreon.com/?p=23 :o
