M500 - Rocking Horse poop!?

Hi all, i'm new here, infact very new so please be gentle :o

i've been trying to get myself an SPV M500 for the past week with no luck so far but have managed to get some info that i wanted to run past you guys... after reading a couple of reviews online and ending up here i know this is the place to get the answers i seek now.

Orange have absolutely no stock of the unit atm and buymobilephonesonline.net have claimed that the unit has been discontinued although Orange deny this and talkworld have said they can get me one for next mon/tues.

what do you guys think/know?

problem is after seeing one in the flesh and reading the reviews i REALLY want this spv and nothing else will do unfortunately. i also want it on Orange so i a bit stumped.

Judging by the number of members on here who have got themselves an M500, I'd say Orange have been surprised by how popular they have become.

Did Orange give you any indication of when they would have new stock in ?

When I got my M500, in July, the Orange sales person said it was in stock at the time, took my money and promised to send it out later on that day. Five days later I had made several calls asking how the dispatch was going and being told the phone was in fact not in stock and hadn't been when they took the money from me. I was told that if I called back tomorrow they would have a restocking date. After five days of this I lost it, threatened to cancel my contract, caused a bit of a fuss and I got it first thing the next day. Frankly Orange don't know there arse from their elbow and it seems a bit of prodding is needed for anything to happen.

Or on the other hand, they actually may have no stock at the moment and no amount of screaming down the phone will achieve anything. :o

Talkworld have an order pending this friday so they say i will have the unit for mon / tues next week. they have done it on the same contract as Orange as well with the same freebies so i'm ok now.

Thanks for the input though guys.
