SPV M500 windows media player problem

I have had the M500 two weeks, so far so good, but........

I have MPG video on my storage card, if i use start/programs/file explorer/storage card i can see the files.

if i tap on one, i get message "no application associated with "file name" run application first and openthis file from within the application"

i then open media player/menu/library/storage card...and there is nothing there !

anyone know what i am doing wrong. I have been in touch with orange....useless, pushed around from person to person. and have been waiting for a phone call from a developer for 5 days !
