USB GPS with SMT5600?

Would it be possible to connect a USB GPS adapter into the mini USB port on my SMT5600? I know that i'd need an adapter (usb male -> mini USB), but what else is stopping me from using , say M$ streets and trips on this thing?

I have successfully linked the GPS with MS Streets and Maps (AKA Pharos)

through Bluetooth.

You cannot use the USB port for this (I believe it is a slave device not a host - or something like that) but it works fine with a BT GPS device.
