I was in the middle of a ROM update and it was interupted, now it wont power up. Is there any way I can re-flash or get to the canary screen to power up my MPx200?

Hello,

don't think there is a 'canary' screen on motorola's. I believe it's named after the original 'canary' spv but could be mistaken. As I recall you need the USB driver for the moto installed when the phone is off for ithe computer to recognise it - do you have this and does the computer recognise the phone when you plug it in?

Any motorola service centres near you?

Correct about the canary screen, there is not one on the MPX200. there is only a boot screen with the master reset options.

You do not need any drivers for the phone to be seen by the pc all you need to do is power off and run the update as it instructs you to.

Unfortunately depending on how for into the update the power was lost can mean wou have a paper weight and nothing can be done to revive it. Moto would than be your only option.

As there are no legal roms tyhat you can download any you do play with run the risk of killing your phone. This may not have happened in your case but you do need to be aware of it.
