C500 - no earpiece sound when dialing

I guess this may be related to an issue a little further down but sometimes when I try to call someone I hear no sound in the earpiece at all. No dialing tone or the person speaking at the other end. The person I call however does receive a call but can't hear me.

Anyone else found this problem?

Does the sound come back if you squeeze the casing together near the earpiece? Could be one of the contacts for the earpiece is loose / broken.

See this thread if you want to open it without voiding the warranty to have a look. Is it under warranty? Unless it's been dropped then you should be able to get it fixed.

still under warranty. Not damaged. Just wondered if others have had this and whether it is software etc. Haven't tried squeezing anything. If I persist it will normally work again after a few attempts. Doesn't do it all the time. It could even be network related I suppose.

Loading the latest firmware can't hurt ( apart from erasing the phones' memory or if something goes wrong during the process )
