Guest jedihobbes Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Hi, After uninstalling Papyrus (didn't find a need for it, unfortunately, although it seems to be a great piece of software), I noticed that accessing my calendar and tasks just doesn't work. I need to manually go into the windows directory on my MPx220, and launch calendar.exe or tasks.exe. This is unacceptable. Also, I'm not too sure if Papyrus merely changes the Calendar.lnk in my start menu, or if it does something a little deeper? Please help! Thanks, Ric
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Hi, Can you try this... 1. Download then extract content of ZIP attachment. Default_Calendar.zip 2. Transfer 'Default Calendar' to your Start menu folder 3. Try the link. :o I hope it will work.
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Not sure why the uninstall didn't work properly. Papyrus changes the registry to replace the default Calendar and Task application. Change HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\RAI\:MSCALENDER\1 from "\Storage\Program Files\Papyrus\papyrus.exe" to ':MSPOUTLOOK calender' and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\RAI\:MSTASKS\1 from "\Storage\Program Files\Papyrus\papyrus.exe" OPEN|TASKS|0 to ':MSPOUTLOOK tasks' and then REBOOT your phone. Hope this helps.
Guest amitregev Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 I'm really sorry for the trouble with the Papyrus uninstall and the Calendar/Tasks links. This is actually suppose to revert back to the default links, so I'm guessing something didn't worked fine during the unsinatll process. We will be testing this some more to see which code section on the uninstall might have failed and get this fixed with our upcoming update :o Again, I'm really sorry about the trouble.
