Guest silid Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Hi, I've got a mega strange SMS / text messaging problem with my Motorola MPx220. It just sits there!! The 'send' button flashes like you've presesd it but nothing happens!! Please help me!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i get this problem on my spv C500 , i thought it was because I had loads of messages in my inbox so i deleted all my messages, sent items included so i had none left in any folders and it happend again today with just a few messages in the box. i have found that it tends to work if i press reply, cancel it and press reply again it is more likely to go. it is mighty annoying so if anyone has a more permanent fix i would like to know about it.
Guest silid Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 btw to read the blank messages i choose forward - i don't get date and time info just the content of the message
Guest zim_zimmer Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Well I solved my problem.... by getting rid of my MPx220!! Not as a result of that mind, I was in the process of selling it at the time and had to do a Master Reset in the end to cure it properly. Like SILID I used to go to FORWARD the messages then you could read them, but it was annoying!! I've gone back to the trusty Sony Ericsson mobiles... they're the best, I've never had a problem with them.
Guest silid Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 when i did the firmware update to my c500 the problem went away.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 I have seen this before when the Storage on the phone becomes too full. When this happens the phone loses the ability to send SMS as it needs to write the information to the memory before sending.
Guest monkeygadge Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 Sounds like a time to go for a Hard Reset...... Then if that doesn't work..........upgrade the ROM.
