Guest zoomy942 Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Okay, so when i reset my phone, set my camcorder to record in AVI format (its a little smoother and i just drop it onto a pc and it plays) and i'll be able to watch that recorded video in wondows media player. i record something, navigate to i with file manager, click it and windows media player goes for it:). now after i install TCPMP, i cant navigate to it and just click it. i HAVE TO open windows media player and run it from there. i have made sure that the AVI file format isnt clicked in TCPMP, and i have re-assosiated the avi extenstion with WMP also. by the way, tcpmp works fine. it will play my Office Space movie from Pocketdivx, and it plays the camcorder video fine. i am just ope of those people that likes to know... why? :o
Guest nick_d Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 from memory it's that the avi files aren't associated with any one media program anymore (just checked my phone since reinstalling tcpmp and no associations). in file explorer select an avi, file, associate then choose windows mp...should work from now on.
Guest HouLeng Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 I thought I might kind of hijack this thread instead of starting a new one, sorry mate! When I try to open .WMV files through the standard file browser I get a WMP error that the file is corrupt or not in a format WMP understands - however when I open WMP first then open the file from it's own file open dialogue, it plays perfectly. I've already been to file explorer and have chosen WMP.exe as the default program. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.
