Guest w411y Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 1) has any1 successfully sent something from a c550 to a d500? 2) is there a way of sending a file without the other person having to accept the connection? (sort of like on the c550 when u enable incoming beams) 3) is there a way of browsing another devices files and downloading them?(if so is there a way you can do it without them accepting any connection?) and lastly 4) what would you say is the most successful way to send something over bluetooth (from a c500/550)? sorry to be a nuisance
Guest Geeklord Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 try mobiluck. (more info from www.MobiLuck.com) Although I think the sending without prior approval from the recipient is phone unit dependent.
Guest James Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 with regard to item three: That is kind me staying 'i would like to access other peoples computers without then knowing'.... :-) this i belive is called hacking? ;-) so, to sum up, there are procedures out there for this type me thing. (At least in theory) but i believe any use of there would be illeagal.
Guest Samsonite Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 it is a kind of hack but only if the paring or OK message wasnt asked for... the MS stack is pants and wont let you setup OBEX file transfer or anything so the options you have are very limited. the t610 i had would let me browse the wifes nokia 6820(once accepted a connection) so it could download anything i wanted... Most phones with a half decent BT function will let you do much much more that the MS stacked units... A Widcomm stacked device lets you do more too... sadly it seems that none of the latest MS PPCPE or Smartphone units seem to have widcomm...
