Guest akurei_2000 Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 I can connect to the internet via my passthrough connection on the phone, however, when i mark emails for downloading and try to download through passthrough connection i get: "Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device, Make sure you are connected and that your email account settings are correct....." (and so on) i can't understand why it won't connect to Gmail servers whilst plugged in, but when using GPRS all works fine. I don't see how its a firewall problem as i can get online through passthrough. Just seems to be Gmail that it doesn't like! any ideas :??: :??: (p.s. have searched for answer but can't find anything like this)

If you haven't got the server settings as pop.gmail.com:465 and smtp.gmail.com:995, then try that (the ports maybe the wrong way round). If not, I don't know :-) jonc
