Help mp3's no longer work on my phone!

installed a few bit's and pieces yesterday ad now my phone no longer plays MP3's or any sound through media player...

I installed KhmerSophan Sound Setting V1.2 to try to use different mp3 as message tones etc... I also had another couple of media players on there... beta player and another one that i can't remember... It was working fine when I had beta player on it's own on there... but then when media player 10 stopped working stuff would still run through that...

I'm no longer able to use mp3's as ring tones but i can use wmv's(??!??!?!?!!?)

oops... i forgot... it's an SPV 500...

Beta Player (probably others too) will take over the file association for MP3s which stops WMP using them as ringtones. Uninstalling & rebooting usually cures this but you can also change file associations with Binarys Smart Explorer.

I tried that but it didn't work... what if i re-install the update will that cure anything?

Can you try this cab for me? It will re-associate mp3 extension with WMP.

right... that worked for file associations... but i still get no sound.... :cry: :cry:

not sure what's going on here... when my phone rings i get sound.... warnings and all other sounds work... just not when I try to listen to them in media player.... so all my comedy vids that keep me chuckling at work don't have sound... grr...
