Question about the "Mail" label on the home screen

I installed a homescreen and noticed that it has a "Mail" label on the home menu. It says "0" right now. Does this by default mean the mail in the "Outlook Mail" category under "Messages"? I have a POP3 account setup with a different name, is it possible to get the label to show new messages for that instead?
