Guest leinadafc Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Is it possible to lock the screen and keys on the M500 while the phone is on. I use WMP or Betaplayer/TCPMP and put the phone in my pockect but I can't find a way of locking the screen from switching to other applications, dialling Tokyo etc.
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Yeah, it's annoying, but there are apps that do it and a few threads here discussing them... Personally I use DeltaLock

Guest jim.mason Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Does this kepp the screen/buttons locked when you get a text message/reminder or incoming call? Cheers Jim
Guest maxwell_hung Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Have a look at this application currently being developed. Been testing it since the first release and it's great.. The original thread started on here
Guest paulrich Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Why dont you use the feature that came with the phone to lock the buttons. Start>Settings>System>Button Lock>Lock all buttons except power button. After my device times out after 3 mins or however long you want it to, all the buttons are locked except the tiny power button on the side. Just press this and it brings the device out of hibernation mode. When you do receive a call just press the green answer button or 'Accept' on the screen. The same goes for text messages. When a message is recieved it brings the device out of hibernation allowing you to respond to the message. Hope this is of some use.
Guest maxwell_hung Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 paulrich, when you receive a call/reminder/message the screen and keys become unlocked and active. WMP doesn't power the device off after the time you set, it keeps the device alive and active. ScreenGuard will lock the screen & keys but still notify you on screen of any new messages etc... but the device will still be locked. It also has the option of blanking the screen upon locking, which is useful for battery life when you are listening to music.
