Help - won't start up after "clear storage" ran

Hi,

I've just inherited an SPV C500 from a friend. I wanted to clear all his stuff off so found the "clear storage" option in the menu.

Ran it and it seemed to reboot but stuck on the Windows Mobile Screen. Powered it down but now doesn't turn on - just dead!

Would the battery have gone completely flat using the "clear storage" method? Do I need to let it charge up fully before turning on again?

Really panicked 'cos only just had it and completely dead!

'Clear Storage' utility is the software version of hard reset. What the utility will do is to reset your phone to factory default. It is advisable to have a fully-charged battery before performing a hard reset.

I'd also add that the first Windows Mobile screen after a reset seems to stay there for ever. I've never actually timed it, but I'm sure I could down at least 4 pints in the time it takes to move on, so I suggest being really patient with it. :o

PS. 4 pints of tea, that is.

It is always best to do the Clear Storage first then a Hard Reset.
