Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Not one to rest on their laurels Astraware have been as busy as ever and would like to announce that they are ready for WM5 with a wide range of games already converted to run on the new OS. A total of 11 games have been updated to support the new Windows Mobile 5 for Pocket PC handhelds, with 4 of these titles also supporting Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone devices. The titles which have been updated are: Bejeweled - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC and Smartphone, Crazy Daisy - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC and Smartphone, Bzzz! - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC and Smartphone, Super Slyder - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC and Smartphone, Bejeweled 2 - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Shape Shifter - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Pixelus - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Zuma - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Tradewinds - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Text Twist - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Super Wild Wild Words - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC. Guest Disco Stu Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Having not yet taken any interest in WM05 this may be a silly question, but will these versions be compatible with QVGA devices (C550 etc) - specifically meaning full-screen ?
Guest Alsicole Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Hi Stu! The 4 Smartphone titles will display full screen on QVGA Smartphones. Super Slyder has a full screen version for QVGA already and the other 3 titles will scale up to fill the screen. All our games have free trial versions, so feel free to try them out. Alison

Alison <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kudos to Astraware for moving so fast. Sure we can expect more of the same from them in the future. Now if only other software developers moved so fast... :?:
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Just confirming that all 4 Smartphone games above work perfectly on the C550. If you already own the game, download the demo and use your old code to register. Bish bosh bash - full screen gaming fun in the house :o I'm so happy I bought 2 more games. Fruit Frolic next please, Mrs Alsicole 8)
Guest Alsicole Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Stu, I'll pass on your request to the development team but they're quite busy with a couple of other upcoming projects which will include Smartphone versions, so you may need to wait a little while. :o
