Different username/password for pop3 & smtp server

I use different servers for sending (smtp) and receiving (pop3) email and both need to be authenticated with different usernames and passwords.

Setting up the email on my SPV E200 there is a tick box to say that the SMTP server needs authentication but nowhere to enter these details - I assume it uses the same as for the pop3 server???

Does anyone know:

a) if it is possible to set a username and password for the STMP server?

:o if there is an email client for smartphone that does offer this facility?

And, no, before you ask it is not possible to use the same server for both smtp and pop3!
