Guest Adambsmith Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 (edited) When I send a text using my contacts, the text message in the sent folder only displays the number of the contact I've sent it to. It shows the name if I reply to someone's text but not if I just text from scratch. Is there anyway to replace that with the name of the contact which would be far easier than remembering eveyone's number? Edited September 22, 2005 by Adambsmith
Guest Adambsmith Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 Sorted it myself - use the the keyboard to bring up the contact and hey presto! 8)
Guest Mujja Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Please explain what you did. My texts also show just the number.

My texts also show just the number. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As the previous poster said, simply start a new text and whilst the cursor is in the "to" field, start typing in the contacts name (using the keyboard). A dropdown list of the appropriate names in your contacts will appear. Simply click on the name you want and it will put the name and number in the "to" field. If you look in your sent items folder, it will show the name of the person you sent it to.
