Don't know if anyone else has had this problem or has a fix, but this has now happened to me twice in the last week. My SMT5600 appears to be working normally until I go to make a phone call. When I go to dial out, the phone never will. I then reboot the phone and I can call normally and all of a sudden I get all my voice mails. People that have tried to call at that point have told me that the phone goes straight into voicemail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ha. Yea, i haear u man.. my s*** does that too.. AT&T (sim/soft UNlocked) on cingular and it screws over all the time.. 1st i will anser the phone and it gets an error "unable to answer call" ONNNLY if i let it get to 3 rings or more.. It is seriously annoying. Complaint #2 w/ lock enabled the keypads don't light up to type the code.. so if it is dark u have to guess what u r pressing. WHACK. I need a rom and quick.. who's gonna jump off some 3rd party firmware? Or a SOFTWARE FLASH would be off the chain. My minisd will b here soon, but it would still make it easier.

BTW to fix ur prob try locking and unlocking or going to resource manager and stopping all the processes.. should start clickin again. MINE DOES

That's the poing of lock; to prevent battery drain from accidental pressing of buttons which results in lights turning on. My SP3i for example, when it's in my pocket is always locked cause the joystick is always moved/pressed in there. Imagine the batter drain if everytime lights would come on...

Haven't tried locking/unlocking, but every time I'm done with an app, I make sure to go and kill all processes. I don't think that's it, but next time it happens, I'll make sure to check and see if there is anything running...Thanks...

My advice to you is to reboot your phone once a day. If you double tap the power button it will reset the phone. Just start doing that before you go to bed or something, just get in the habbit. It sounds tedious but it will keep you from having those accidental lock ups where it goes straight to VM and doesnt notify you.

Well, for what it's worth, I did a hard reset 2 days ago and haven't had the problem since...
