Guest j_Duqueno Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 (edited) Hi, I am working on a new wap site for a ringtones company (nothing to do with crazy frog). In order to supply content to a windows mobile handsets I need to identify the model from the HTTP user agent header. However I only have an old Orange SPV and Motorola MPx200 (upgraded to WM2003) for testing. I need you guys to visit: Http://wap.ringtones.co.uk/wmtest/ using your windows mobile handsets. The page should display: XHTML Page Handset Manufacturer & Model (if detected correctly) CSS: True / False (If style sheets are listed in the HTTP_Accept header tag) If the handset supports CSS the text should show as red in a grey box with a black background. The page will also capture the HTTP headers from your handset so I can tweak my handset detection routine. Just one visit from each of these handsets would be good: Orange SPV E100 Orange SPV E200 Orange SPV C500 Orange SPV C550 - Done. Thanks Disco Stu :o Motorola MPX200 (WM2002 original firmware) Motorola MPX220 T-Mobile SDA T-Mobile SDA Music I have searched on the internet for this information but been unable to find it, although I found another post on here looking for the same info. I will post a list of Handsets / User Agents here for anyone who is interested, once I have the info. Here’s a few examples of User agent strings: Orange SPV -> "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; Smartphone; 176x220)" Nokia6600 -> "Nokia6600/1.0 (3.42.1) SymbianOS/7.0s Series60/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0" SonyEricssonK700i -> "SonyEricssonK700i/R2AY SEMC-Browser/4.0.3 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1" Motorola V600 -> "MOT-V600/0B.09.1DR MIB/2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0" Win XP Internet Explorer -> "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" The HTTP user agent header is pasted to the web server every time you access a web page. Thanks for reading Jon D Edited September 24, 2005 by j_Duqueno
Guest RickDawson Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 Could you post a screenshot of what it's supposed to look like?
Guest j_Duqueno Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 (edited) Could you post a screenshot of what it's supposed to look like? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> See attached. Very boring I know. This is just for testing and gathering HTTP user agents so I can refine my handset model detection routine. The final site will look a lot prettier. Edited September 23, 2005 by j_Duqueno

Then 'Orange SPV C550' justified to left Then 'CSS: True' as above Rest of screen is blank. :o EDIT : yeah - just like that ! :( Edited September 23, 2005 by Disco Stu
