Guest Hendo44642 Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 Hey Guys, On holiday I managed to drop my HTC Tanager/E100...... into the swimming pool (its a long story, don't ask). Anyway i tried to dry it out by taking it apart. When put back together it will not boot up on its own, though i was low on battery at the time. Yet when i charge it the red LED comes on and the screen goes white but i cannot get any further than this. Seems like a long shot but does anyone have any advice other than throw it in the bin and get a C550. Any advice much appreciated Thanks in advance Andrew

If there's major corrosion evident you may need a fibreglass pen to remove it cleanly - if so re-laquer the board as well to prevent atmospeheric corrosion in future ( amazing how sweaty a phone gets in your back pocket  Richard
