Guest pibrahim Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Inability to use midi files mean wave files are normally quite large, and having a couple of them at respectable quality takes up a lot of memory space. Only semi-valid reason I've seen given for not allowing ringtones to be stored on memory card is if someone rings you, and the card is removed, but it wouldn't be hard to tell the phone to simply play a generic ringtone then would it..?
Guest Masuyo Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 Search for SmartTweaker. It allows you to store your ringtones on the miniSD card. There may be a registry edit for this too. I got the program though, and just be aware that you have to unlock your motoQ in order to even install smartTweaker... but it works!
Guest conan_troutman Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 you can use any sound file that is compatible with the phone as a ring tone provided it is in the storage card/My documents folder or just on the storage card not in any other folder with out any reg edits or third party programs
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Wow digging up one of the very first posts on the site :) I'm even more surprised it was not answered 4 1/2 years ago
