conformation of custom contact ringtones.

i have looked through various threads and posts to try and find an answer to this question..

by using the sd card, is there any SAFE way to modify the registry so personnal contact ringstones can be stored on the sd card.

all i want is to set ringtones to my contacts and store them on the sd card SAFELY, without the registry messing up and hard reset needing to be done.

is there any guides to do this, or programs out to make this possible ?, half of the threads dont work and mess up the phone as it is. :oops:
