While previously information about i-mate K-JAM was leaked through various online retailers (that usually just want customers to pre-order the phones at higher prices - and that's why they do it), however now i-mate itself leaked detailed specifications of imate K-JAM! We say "leaked" because there is no link to this page of i-mate K-JAM anywhere on the website of i-mate, but the page is online!

Some parts of this specification sound almost too fantastic: Wi-Fi with support for 802.11 b/g/e/i (and not just 802.11b) and 2.0 Megapixel Built in Camera (and not 1.3 megapixel as widely expected) and 3D surround sound! Something must be wrong here.... or maybe some extended variants of i-mate K-JAM are coming... here is the detailed specifications of i-mate K-JAM as provided by the source - the i-mate itself:

Conclusion: i-mate K-JAM goes on sale at the beginning of October 2005 (next month) and while September was "a month of HTC Universal" (because T-Mobile MDA Pro and i-mate JASJAR went on sale), the October may well be "a month of HTC Wizard": not only i-mate will start selling HTC Wizard (as i-mate K-JAM) but also O2 will be selling it as O2 Xda mini S (in Germany) and O2 Xda Mini Pro (in Asia).

What is with HTC Wizard in UK? It will be available online only - through various shops. i-mate has been selling i-mate JAM at Dixons at airports in UK so there is hope that i-mate K-JAM will be on sale at Dixons too...

Errr... sorry but the K-Jam is (and as far as I remember has been for a while) listed on the I-Mate website. Go to www.clubimate.com, hover over Products and all this information is there as it was always meant to be :?:

What is new however is that the SP5 and SP5m are now featured as well (the upcoming HTC Tornado with wifi)
