Guest Jay247 Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Guys, my reset button doesn't react anymore to a gentle squeeze from my stylus! It's highly annoying as my XdaIIs needs resetting every otehr day at least. The only way to revive it after a crash now is to take the battery off, which of course might mean I lose all my data due to the backup-battery-bug. Is there any way I can perform a hard-reset without having to use the soft-reset button? And if I tell O2, will they replace my handset? It's about 5 months old now. Any comments appreciated! N.B.: An "ungentle" squeeze doesn't do the trick either!
Guest Pondrew Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 This really should be covered by warranty. Resets, obviously soft more so then hard, are absolutely necessary with a pocket pc. Time to get O2 to send it for repair as long as you're sure there's no reason they could call it damage through neglect?
Guest Jay247 Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 I'll give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say. It's strange, because it just stopped working after a huge (software)-crash. It feels like it's depressing properly, but doesn't execute the function anymore. Thanks Pondrew, I'll let you know what I find out about O2's customer service!
