problems with playing movies on the SPV M2000

I've just bought the SPV M2000, and I'm encountering some problems with getting films to play. I downloaded betaplayer for the SPV, and use (or try to use!) PocketDivx encoder to copy my DVD collection to the SPV.

The problem I have is that when I select a movie file to encode, PocketDivX loads up the right screen, and then after about 15 seconds tells me it's done it. All it's done, however, is create a file no larger than a few KB in size.

It works fine on a couple of skate a nd snowboard vids, but no luck with feature films. Any advice?

Also, if there is more than 1 movie file, does that mean I'll have to encode them both seperately and them play them seperately, or is there a way of joining them?

Did you extract the DVD files first using a decoder ?

The only difference is that you would select the PocketPC icon.
