C500 repair in Australia?

Hi,

I've moved out to Sydney with my 9 month old UK C500 and now the microphone seems to have given up the ghost.

Any ideas where I could get this repaired? I guess the warranty is void as I opened it up about 6 months ago to get the dust off the screen! :o

Hello,

unless HTC have a local office you'll have to find a good local indepandant repairer. Have you tried checking the mic contacts yourself? If you're skilled with a soldering iron it's a fairly straightforward task to solder on a new one, if you can get a mic to roughly the same spec it should work no problem - an older damaged phone could potentially be a source of a mic if you are unable to buy a suitable one.
