Guest Looby Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 I am thinking of upgrading my smartphone in the not too distant future to one that will have the new size and resolution. Does this mean that the applications that I have presently installed (some paid for) will not work? Also are the developers going to re-format them and re-charge you in the process? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :o
Guest martin Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 It's really for each software developer to decide whether they will offer QVGA versions of their applications. Most developers will respond to an email if you state which applications you are interested in :o
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Have a scan of the Hurricane section as there are a few threads listing software compatibility. I'm also noticing that some software houses are announcing WM05-compliance which seems to be effectively the same thing. Astraware have started on their games - see the recent News item - and Developer One (Power Calendar, Code Wallet etc) are releasing updated versions.
Guest Looby Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Thanks, I guess it's a question of time until the QGVA format becomes the default. :o
