Odd homescreen

When i create my homescreen i generally use paintand resize the image that i want to use to 240*300 (to allow fo the soft key menus at the bottom)

But when i came to create one recently, the following happened and the image was all asque!

Can any one explain this?

The actual image size you should use is 240x293 (in QVGA the start menu bar uses 27 pixels, not 20). Sometimes you can get away with using different image sizes but it is best to use the actual size.

Hope that fixes it for you.

Also make sure at the beginning of your xml in the tag have target-width="240" target-height="293" which is within .

Have u just resized the pic or crop it as well ?
