Using telephone number from inside an SMS message

Hi

I have an SPV C500 and would like to know if there is a way of using a telephone number that may be sent inside a text message. There is a feature called "Use Number" on Nokia phones and was wondering if there is any such function or software around that can allow me to do the same. It's a real pain when my company send all our call outs to us via SMS with the contact details and you can't grab the number out of the text.

If the telephone number is highlighted in blue in the SMS then you can select it by using the roller bar (scroll down until the number is boxed) and then press the bar inwards to select the number :o

Unfortunately it's not in blue!! The messages are sent from an internet based program via SMS. Any third party apps that can help out here?

If I send an SMS to my smartphone from another phone then I can pickup any number contained in the text. I've no idea why it's different for SMS sent from and internet based program. Is there a space before and after number ?

I have just tested that using my two phones and I aggree that it works fine. Will need to see how the girls enter the data into the SMS just incase they haven't put any spaces before and after the number.

Will check tomorrow.
