Guest kurtfhouse Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Or HERE to be exact! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why does everyone want to downgrade anyway? The web browser in version 2.0 is great and the ability to customise the background :??: I haven't really looked into homebrew, whats available thats so compelling? Cheers
Guest Dade Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Why does everyone want to downgrade anyway? The web browser in version 2.0 is great and the ability to customise the background :??: I haven't really looked into homebrew, whats available thats so compelling? Cheers There are lots of homebrew titles available Some cool applications and some brilliant games, squares being a favourite. There are things like WiFi Jukeboxes, WiFi streaming radio players and even a PDA application. Have a look at www.pspupdates.com Sony are quite unhappy that people want to downgrade their rom and run homebrew and have now released an updated rom (2.01) the closes the loophole that allows downgrade. I can understand that Sony want to stop naughty people running Pirate Software but I think the approach to homebrew is all wrong. Improve the UMD security, stop people from copying them and leave the device open to homebrew! Better still: Sony support the homebrew community and SELL a special UMD that actualy enables homebrew code to run but PREVENTS ISO execution and PREVENTS access to the ROM itself!
Guest Orionping Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Wow i've tried it out and downgraded from a US PSP version 2 to version 1.5, with a little help from a friend. Its great you can do all sorts of things, like play emulator games (as long as you own the original i don't think there is no problem with copywrite, would be good if someone could confirm please).
Guest unclelimey Posted October 15, 2005 Report Posted October 15, 2005 hi, can someone tell me... does homebrew stuff work on 1.52? or just 1.50 thanks in advance
