Well its took its time coming...but here it is a fully working downgrade solution. You can now downgrade your 2.0 psp back to 1.50. This will work on all versions of the psp USA/EU/JAP.

i have tested it and it works just follow the instructions carefully otherwise you may brick your psp.

Files and links not put but here is a google link that may help you find it

Why does everyone want to downgrade anyway? The web browser in version 2.0 is great and the ability to customise the background :??:

I haven't really looked into homebrew, whats available thats so compelling?

Cheers

There are lots of homebrew titles available Some cool applications and some brilliant games, squares being a favourite. There are things like WiFi Jukeboxes, WiFi streaming radio players and even a PDA application.

Have a look at www.pspupdates.com

Sony are quite unhappy that people want to downgrade their rom and run homebrew and have now released an updated rom (2.01) the closes the loophole that allows downgrade. I can understand that Sony want to stop naughty people running Pirate Software but I think the approach to homebrew is all wrong. Improve the UMD security, stop people from copying them and leave the device open to homebrew!

Better still: Sony support the homebrew community and SELL a special UMD that actualy enables homebrew code to run but PREVENTS ISO execution and PREVENTS access to the ROM itself!

Wow i've tried it out and downgraded from a US PSP version 2 to version 1.5, with a little help from a friend. Its great you can do all sorts of things, like play emulator games (as long as you own the original i don't think there is no problem with copywrite, would be good if someone could confirm please).

Is your PC portable then? ;)

There's a wee bit more available than just a ZX Spectrum emulator... 8)
