Guest booman Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Hi, Has anyone else had problems sending or receiving MMS messages on ther M500 or Qtek S110. I receive MMS but the message does not download.? and any messages sent get stuck in the outbox. the settings have been checked by my network provider. so i was wondering if it was my unit???
Guest Pondrew Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Can you tell us whether it's the Qtek on Orange with the settings manually entered? Or an SPV M500 that was already set up out of the box? Once GPRS is definately working the thing to check is in Messaging / Tools / MMS Settings. It should have a drop down box marked "Connect via:" MMS Network should be selected. Now if you select the Servers tab at the bottom it'll either say "Sample Server" if it's a Qtek or "Orange MMS" if it's an M500. If the latter there's not much more I can tell you as the Orange rom should already have the correct details in it. One thing to check is to make sure theres a "/" at the end of the Server Address (on T-Mobile for example it's "http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002/") If it's a Qtek and the only server listed is the "Sample Server" then this will be the reason it's not working. You need to set a new default server with the Orange MMS settings (gateway, port number, server address, etc). Let us know how you get on!

I'm off to work now but will post some pics of what the working settings look like for T-Mobile on my Pocket PC Phone. That'll give you an example of how it should look on yours. We'll then just run through the correct Orange/O2 settings until it works... I hope!
