Guest kingnoddy Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 hi Why do programs not shut down when u click the x?. I look in running programs & see them all still running, so have to shut them from there. thnx Dave
Guest mitman Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 Use this tiny app called "vbar". It replaces the x with it's own that will close the programme.
Guest mupwangle Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 They just do. Not all of them. Smartphones have the same issue. I would prefer that they shut down when you hit x - but I would also like to lick jam off Cat Deeley's naked body. ;-)
Guest Pondrew Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 That's the way Microsoft designed the Windows Mobile os. They think the operating system should keep programs open until it starts to run out of memory at which time it automatically shuts down progs. So it's meant to be self managing. Can be a bit of a pain sometimes but doesn't usually cause probs with todays devices (the 64meg Pocket PC Phones have it harder as the memory runs out quicker which sometimes causes lockups).
