Guest JenSPV Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Hey there, I understand, that I can use the Dial-Lock found in the Settings --> Security dialogue. Anyway I find it quite annoying for the daily use - I´d rather just have the phone locked, when being turned on. This will leave the phone renderless for thieves as well and will minimize the trouble - and in addition to that: In case of emergency the dial-lock could be fatal... With PocketPC this is no problem, but I haven´t found a solution to this in the OS or by a third-party software. Ideas anyone? Best regards Jens
Guest misterhamper Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 You can still call emergency numbers, even then the lock is on. Just type in the number, and press the green Call-button. Like "112".

Like "112". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That´s correct. However in Germany and many other countries the police emergency call differs from the rescue call. In Germany it´s "110" - and this can´t be entered if the lock is on. By the way: Is there a way of adding this number? Maybe somewhere in the registry? And apart from that - it´s still annoying to enter your password every hour you didn´t touch it.... Regards Jens
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Hi JenSPV, Try this ECall numbers tweak: http://www.modaco.com/TotW_Changing_Emerge...rs-t208117.html :o
Guest RT87 Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 (edited) You can do this! Click the power button once, and then select device lock. Enter the duration - this is how long it takes to lock itself. Enter the password. This should do the trick? Edited October 2, 2005 by RT87
